A Practical Playbook for Law Firm AI Series, Session 2 | Beyond the Billable: Smarter Finance with AI

AI is changing how law firms operate, but buying a tool isn't the same as adopting a technology. This five-session series gives professional staff a practical framework for evaluating readiness, building governance, and identifying the use cases that actually move the needle in their departments. Find more information about the series and the individual sessions on the AI Series page.
Session 2: Beyond the Billable: Smarter Finance with AI
Finance teams in law firms are sitting on some of the highest-value AI use cases, and most don't require building anything from scratch. This session walks through practical applications in billing, collections, forecasting, and reporting, focusing on where AI reduces manual effort and improves accuracy without compromising controls or compliance.
We'll look at real examples of how firms are using AI to catch billing errors before clients do, surface collection patterns that would take analysts weeks to find, and generate financial reporting that partners actually read.
